Bahamas – Paradise On Earth

If you want to experience a James Bond-esque holiday then the Bahamas is the place to go. Thinking of the Bahamas usually provides an image of crystal clear waters and white sand beaches. Trust me, the Bahamas offer that and much more. There are around 3000 islands and tiny islets in total and you can engage in a variety of activities ranging from snorkeling to deep sea diving.

You might come across a legend or two while traveling through the Bahamas. The people of the islands are quite friendly and surprisingly they are quite religious. The main language spoken on the islands is English, although you can probably get by with French as well. The people have a very liberal attitude when it comes to tourists and most of the activities such as gambling, sun bathing are considered normal.

Most of the attractions in the region are water based and you can engage in activities such as snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and bone-fishing and so on. Bahamas beaches are known for their incredibly clear and shallow waters.  Dolphin sighting excursions are among the most popular activities in the Bahamas Cruise, The water is usually quite warm and pleasant and you can spend hours on end in the shallow pools. Paradise Island is a popular tourist spot and the island has quite a few sites which you can visit. Most of the attractions in the region are water based but there are several historical places which you can visit as well. The Pompey Museum of Slavery is another place which you can visit during your stay. Most of the smaller islands are free of tourism and you can take a boat ride to these. You can enjoy a quite picnic at any one of the romantic spots which are located in the Bahamas. Each island in the chain has something different to offer and day trips from Nassau can be arranged to places such as Abacos, Andros, and Exumas. Casinos, night clubs and shopping centers are located in Paradise Island and Nassau. The Out Islands are the best place to get away from the hustle and bustle but you might have to shell out some extra cash for this. You can also shop for Cuban cigars legally at the Bahamas. The Bahamas vacations is a destination where people go to relax and unwind. The serene beaches and luxury hotels provide a sense of calm and peace. Guests often lounge by the pool or by the beach and sip a cold drink or cocktails.

The Andros beach is an idyllic getaway for honeymooners. There are several artists, sculptors and craftsmen in the area and you might be able to pick up some interesting stuff. The beach is located away from the tourist areas and offers one of the best dive spots in the region. The coral reef surrounding the beach is the third largest in the world. You can spot a variety of marine life in the region as well. A whole host of tropical fish and rays can be found here. Snorkeling is a popular activity in the region. In fact, in recent time the island has become popular as a marriage destination. If you want to get married on the beach, then there is no better place than Andros Island.
